Life's truest challenge is letting go of our tolerance for mediocrity. Seeking fulfillment isn't an arrogance, it’s our highest opportunity for success.
— Sydney Labadie
After spending 12 years in the corporate sector at Bank of America and NIKE, I left to stay at home with my two children and become a business owner. Over the course of four years I created, expanded and sold my property management business where I learned the satisfaction (as well as the blood, sweat, and tears) it takes to build your own business AND be a mom — all in the same kitchen.
Once my children were established in school and I lost my mom to cancer, I found myself searching for a deeper purpose in my professional life. I sought out a coach who helped me uncover why I had been plagued with unfulfillment in my previous roles. Ultimately, what I learned was, I wanted to provide the same clarity to the world that I had achieved. Becoming a coach has not only healed my loss, but it has created a contentment in my day to day that I had been searching for. I look back at my career path and now I see its purpose; to gather the skills necessary to help my personal and business clients reach their goals through coaching.
I am honored to be the on-site Development Coach at VIDA in Portland, OR. I provide the membership with monthly coaching sessions and community events focused on building a professional life that supports the things that matter most deeply to us.
